8 YEARS AND GROWING
Tuesday, June 17, 2014
Wow; can't believe we've been in the alpaca industry now for 8 years. What started as a small family venture has really blossomed into a large booming enterprise. We expanded our breeding program with the addition of elite herdsires from Snowmass and Accoyo America; we opened a virtual and on-site farm store; we joined the NJ Department of Farm Tourism; we conduct group farm tours and educational seminars about alpacas and the textile industry; we participate with local growers'/small business markets; we branched out our show schedule to include the Mid-West/New England and Nationals. Whewww! So much has been happening on our little NJ farm!
One thing is clear, though; all of these changes are positive and moving us forward in the industry. While there is so much uncertainty today in the world and the alpaca industry, we have stayed the course and plan to stick around for a long time! And we plan to continue to mature and grow as breeders.
Keeping consistent and true to our vision, Dancing Horse Farm is proud to announce the arrival of our newest elite foundation female, Accoyo America Avani. Avani is bred to Accoyo America Navigator and is due with her first cria in October! We are just plain thrilled with the arrival of Avani to our program.
We'd like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks to Lynn Edens for sending Avani to NJ!
